Ebanie Bridges

Bridges is in a relationship with former world champion boxer Kell Brook, and she gave birth to their first child on 20 February 2025.

She earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in physical education from Western Sydney University, followed by a master's degree in teaching. She graduated at the top of her class and worked as a qualified mathematics teacher at Airds High School and Westfields Sports High.

Bridges grew up in Toongabbie in Greater Western Sydney as the youngest of three children and the only girl in her family. Her parents introduced her to karate when she was five, and she competed in the discipline until she was 13. At secondary school, she trained in kickboxing and Muay Thai.

She later competed in bodybuilding for eight years under the tutelage of Arina Manta, winning regional and state titles. Bridges turned to boxing between 2016 and 2018 and built a 26-4 amateur record. She won gold in the women's bantamweight events at the 2016 and 2017 Australasian Golden Gloves tournaments, as well as national and state bantamweight titles.

Her nickname, the "Blonde Bomber," refers to her hair colour and her coach Arnel "Bomber" Barotillo.

Bridges made her professional debut against Mahiecka Pareno at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on 8 February 2019. She won by majority decision after being dropped in the first round, and it was later revealed that she had broken her ankle during the bout. She followed the debut with stoppage wins over Laura Woods and Kanittha Ninthim.

After signing with Split-T Management in February 2020, Bridges made her American debut with a six-round unanimous-decision victory over Crystal Hoy in Hammond, Indiana. In March 2021, she defeated Carol Earl by unanimous decision to win the vacant Australian National Boxing Federation Australasian female super-bantamweight title.

Bridges then challenged Shannon Courtenay for the vacant WBA female bantamweight title in April 2021. Courtenay won by unanimous decision, giving Bridges her first professional loss. Bridges returned with stoppage victories over Bec Connolly and Shannon O'Connell, followed by a points win over Mailys Gangloff.

On 26 March 2022, Bridges defeated María Cecilia Román by unanimous decision at the First Direct Arena in Leeds to win the IBF female bantamweight title. Román entered the contest as the reigning champion and was making her eighth title defence.

Bridges made her first successful defence against Shannon O'Connell at the same arena on 10 December 2022. She dropped O'Connell and stopped her by technical knockout in the eighth round.

An attempted second defence against Avril Mathie was cancelled after Mathie withdrew because of injury. Bridges instead faced Miyo Yoshida in December 2023 and lost the IBF title by unanimous decision.

Bridges signed a promotional contract with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions in July 2025. After more than two years away from competitive boxing, she returned against Alexis Araiza Mones in an eight-round bantamweight bout in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on 3 January 2026, losing by unanimous decision.

She ended a two-fight losing streak by defeating Ebonie Cotton on points over six rounds at Rainton Meadows Arena in Houghton-le-Spring, England, on 18 April 2026.

Beyond competing, Bridges has been part of the commentary team for main fight cards on DAZN Boxing, alongside Mike Costello, Darren Barker and Skye Nicolson.

She appeared as a contestant on the fourth season of the Australian reality series SAS Australia and was eliminated in episode 11. IMDb also credits her with appearances in In Real Life, Undisputed, Absent Too, Angel of the North and Verizon.
