Davante Adams

Davante Adams married Devanne Villarreal. The marriage is dated to June 2, 2018 in one account and to 2013 in another. They have three children together, including daughters Daija Leigh and Dezi Lynn, as well as a son born in July 2024.

Adams was born to Douglas Adams and Pamela Brown. He has one brother and two sisters.

Adams attended Fresno State and played for the Bulldogs from 2011 to 2013. After redshirting in 2011, he became an immediate contributor in 2012, catching 102 passes for 1,312 yards and 14 touchdowns. Those totals led the Mountain West Conference, and he was named the conference's Freshman of the Year.

In 2013, Adams led the nation with 131 receptions, 1,719 receiving yards and 24 touchdown catches. His 24 touchdown receptions set a Mountain West record and ranked fourth in single-season FBS history. He won the Paul Warfield Trophy as the nation's top wide receiver and earned second-team All-American honors.

Adams finished his two seasons at Fresno State with school records of 233 receptions and 38 touchdown catches. He entered the 2014 NFL draft after announcing that he would forgo his final two college seasons.

The Green Bay Packers selected Adams in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft with the 53rd overall pick. He initially played behind Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb on the depth chart, but developed into the team's leading wide receiver. He scored his first NFL touchdown on a pass from Aaron Rodgers against the Minnesota Vikings in his rookie season.

Adams was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2017. His partnership with Rodgers became one of the defining connections of his Packers career, and the two set a Green Bay record with 492 completions together over seven seasons. Adams earned his first-team All-Pro selections in 2020 and 2021, while also making the Pro Bowl in five consecutive seasons from 2017 through 2021.

His 2020 season included 115 receptions, 1,374 receiving yards and a league-leading 18 touchdown receptions. The reception total set a Packers single-season record and matched Sterling Sharpe's franchise record for touchdown catches. In 2021, Adams set Packers single-season records with 123 receptions and 1,553 receiving yards.

After Adams declined to play under the Packers' franchise tag in 2022, Green Bay traded him to the Las Vegas Raiders. The move reunited him with Derek Carr, his college quarterback at Fresno State. In his first season with the Raiders, Adams recorded 100 receptions, 1,516 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, breaking the franchise record for receiving yards in a season. He also earned first-team All-Pro honors for the third time.

Adams reached 10,000 career receiving yards during the 2023 season. The Raiders traded him to the New York Jets in October 2024, reuniting him with Rodgers. During a 2024 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he caught nine passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns, reaching 100 career receiving touchdowns in the process.

Adams joined the Los Angeles Rams in 2025. He led the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns despite missing three regular-season games because of injury, and reached 1,000 career receptions during the season. He became the first player in NFL history to lead the league in receiving touchdowns with three different teams, doing so with the Packers in 2020, the Raiders in 2022 and the Rams in 2025.

In 2024, Adams appeared in the Netflix series Receiver. The program followed Adams and fellow NFL wide receivers Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel during the 2023 season.
