Austen Kroll

Kroll joined the cast of Bravo's Southern Charm in season 4 and became a main cast member of the reality series. The show follows social life and relationships in Charleston, South Carolina, and Kroll's personal and professional experiences have been recurring parts of its story.

He has also appeared on the related Bravo programs Summer House and Winter House. IMDb lists him as a host of the podcast series Pillows and Beer and credits him with guest appearances on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen.

Kroll is close friends with fellow Southern Charm cast member Craig Conover. Their friendship, along with tensions between them, has been featured in the show's storylines.

Before and alongside his television career, Kroll worked in the craft beer industry. He was a beer salesman and developed knowledge of beer styles and brewing techniques.

His professional experience included work with Palmetto Brewing Company and Red Hare Brewing Co. He has also been described as a certified beer expert and has used Southern Charm as a platform to promote products connected with his business activities.

Kroll graduated from the University of Alabama in 2010. His studies have been described as business administration and management, and he also spent a semester studying abroad in Prague.

His education in business has complemented his work as an entrepreneur and his involvement in multiple businesses in Charleston.

Kroll's family moved from Washington, D.C., to Charlotte, North Carolina, when he was young. His parents, Tom and Wendy Kroll, later moved from the family home in North Carolina to Seabrook Island, South Carolina, bringing them closer to Kroll and his younger sister, Katie. His parents have appeared with him on Southern Charm.

Kroll's older sister, Kyle Kroll, died in 1994 at the age of nine after an accident on a family hike. He discussed the loss during a Southern Charm season 8 reunion, explaining that Kyle slipped on a wet hiking trail and suffered fatal injuries.

Kroll has described Kyle's death as a defining tragedy for his family. His younger sister, Katie, was born several years later, and he said her arrival helped the family begin to feel whole again.
