Aidan Gallagher

Gallagher's parents are Lauren Gallagher and Rob Gallagher. He has also been described as vegan and Jewish.

He dated actress Hannah McCloud from 2017 to 2018.

Gallagher began acting at nine and made early screen appearances in the 2013 episode of Modern Family, the television pilot Jacked Up, and the short film You & Me. His role in Jacked Up was in a pilot that was not picked up for broadcast.

He became widely recognized as Nicky Harper in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Gallagher was part of the main cast for all four seasons, which ran from 2014 to 2018. His performance earned Favorite Male TV Star nominations at the 2016 and 2017 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and he shared a 2016 Young Artist Award nomination with Casey Simpson, Lizzy Greene, and Mace Coronel.

In 2019, Gallagher began playing Number Five in Netflix's superhero series The Umbrella Academy, adapted from the comic-book series of the same name.

The role became Gallagher's breakthrough performance and brought him critical acclaim. He appeared in all four seasons of the series, which ran from 2019 to 2024.

Gallagher began releasing independent music in 2018 with the song "Blue Neon." He later released "Miss You," a duet with Trinity Rose, followed by "Time," "For You," "I Love You," and "4th of July." He plays guitar and piano and has also been described as a composer and producer.

He began his first headlining tour, the Blue Neon Tour, in January 2020, but the tour was placed on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gallagher was selected for the Big Break Accelerator Program Showcase at South by Southwest 2020 as its youngest solo singer-songwriter performer. His environmental work has included advocacy for the Waterkeeper Alliance, WildAid, and the Oceanic Preservation Society.

At 14, Gallagher was appointed a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for North America. He spoke at the 2019 Global Climate Action Summit and hosted the Illegal Wildlife Trade Summit at the invitation of the UK government, where he introduced Prince William to the stage.
