Annie Agar

Agar attended Grand Valley State University in Michigan, where she studied pre-law and sports broadcasting. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2018.

Her academic background combined legal and analytical training with broadcasting, communication, and storytelling skills. While in college, she gained experience around sports events and local venues, preparing her for work in sports journalism.

Agar began her sports media career in Michigan, reporting on local high school, college, and regional sporting events. She worked as a reporter and sports anchor for WOOD-TV8 in Grand Rapids and also served as an on-field host for the West Michigan Whitecaps baseball team.

She later joined Bally Sports as a national NFL and college football correspondent. Her work there included football coverage, interviews, event reporting, hosting, and digital content, while she continued producing comedy videos for her online audience.

Agar's breakthrough came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she created a parody video depicting Big Ten football teams in a fictional Zoom meeting. She played the characters herself, using different outfits, expressions, and voices to represent the teams.

The concept developed into her NFL League Meetings series, in which teams, coaches, and fan bases appear as characters in imaginary post-game meetings. The videos spread across TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube, attracting millions of views and attention from athletes, coaches, analysts, and sports media personalities.

Her videos stand out for combining football knowledge with comedy. Rather than relying only on general sports jokes, she builds sketches around team identities, rivalries, recent performances, and fan frustrations.

Agar expanded her football coverage into podcasting with The Offensive Line on Wondery. The program covers NFL headlines, fantasy football, football culture, player performances, and game analysis.

She has also appeared on sports podcasts, YouTube channels, and media panels focused on digital journalism, content creation, and the changing ways fans consume sports. Her interview work has included conversations with Peyton Manning and Kirk Cousins.

Agar grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a sports-loving family. Her parents, Jeff and Becki Agar, supported her interest in athletics and broadcasting from an early age.

Her brother Johnny Agar has competed in multiple Ironman triathlons with their father and was featured on ESPN's E:60 for his athletic achievements. The family's involvement in sports helped shape Agar's early interest in football and sports media.
